The inspiration for my film opening\story is from my own hometown. I Live in Weston, FL. Which is by most statistics, one of the safest cities in the U.S. The crime rate for Weston is 88(100 is the safest). Most of the crime in Weston is Theft/burglary and law enforcment has claimed that 80 percent of crime is from teenagers. Persons under 20 is the root of most crime and that is what I want to encapture. I am 18 years old and so have had the unfortunate moments in my life where my own friends have been caught up in crime. I want to make a film capturing a fictional scenario but based on a true events of teen crime in Weston.
